Training Information: This dynamic training, led by Upstream Kansas with the sponsoring support of the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS), is designed to strengthen youth-adult partnerships and enhance community engagement. This training empowers adults with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to successfully partner with youth for positive change.
Youth-Adult Partnerships:
Best practices for creating strong, effective, and lasting partnerships that encourage shared decision-making and mutual respect.
Youth Roles & Relationship Building:
Understanding the roles youth can play in advocacy and community work, and how to cultivate meaningful relationships between adults and youth to foster collaboration.
Youth Recruitment:
Methods and approaches for effectively engaging and recruiting youth, ensuring their voices are heard and their leadership potential is fully realized.
Each training is a one-day event, running from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This training is an excellent opportunity for professionals, community leaders, and organizations working with youth to gain the necessary skills for fostering impactful youth-adult partnerships. Together, we will create stronger, healthier communities where youth are empowered to lead and make a difference.
Upstream Kansas is pleased to offer mileage reimbursement for attendees traveling to any one of the training sessions. We want to ensure everyone can participate, so mileage costs will be covered for those attending one of the training series. Furthermore, a free lunch will be provided for all participants.
