Join us for two action-packed days of training, collaboration, and hands-on programming designed to help you build impactful programs, activities, and opportunities in your community!
This training, hosted by Youth Leaders in Kansas and Upstream Kansas, is designed to strengthen youth leadership across our state. Learn directly from youth trainers and CADCA trainers, who will equip you with the tools and strategies to make a lasting impact in your community.
Day One – Wellington, Kansas
Attendees will meet in Wichita, KS, by 8:00 AM on Wednesday morning to board a bus to Wellington for the first day of the conference. After a full day of training and activities, we will return to Wichita for hotel check-in.
That evening, we’ll host a “Youth 5th Quarter” event a fun, interactive program that youth groups and coalitions can implement after sporting events. This hands-on experience will showcase the 5th Quarter model, featuring outdoor games, activities, and plenty of fun!
Day Two – Wichita State University
The second day will take place at Wichita State University, where attendees will participate in an exclusive session led by Kansas Youth Prevention Action Council (KYPAC) members. These sessions will equip you with strategies and insights to strengthen youth leadership and prevention efforts in your community.
No, this leadership conference is open to all youth in Kansas. We encourage all youth coalitions and groups to attend. If you’re a young person interested in participating but not part of a youth group, you’re still welcome! However, if you’re under 18, you must have an adult chaperone accompany you.
The bus will depart from the hotel parking lot at 8:00 a.m. If you happen to miss it, no worries, you can drive yourself to Wellington and meet us there!
You’ll receive all hotel details, including the address and room assignments, one week before the conference. However, shortly after registering, you’ll get a confirmation letting you know that your room is being booked.
Yes, if you’re bringing members of your YLINK group, we encourage you to register them as a group to help us plan accordingly.
No, staying at the hotel is not required. However, since we have a limited number of rooms available, please indicate your preference on your registration.
We believe that any time spent at the conference is valuable. While we have two full days of programming planned, we still encourage you to attend even if you can only make it for one day. After registering, please email us at [email protected] to let us know.
